This year, one of my resolutions is to get fit and stay fit. I have some tips and tricks, DIY’s and recipes that I wanted to show you guys. Even if you are not trying to get fit, some of these are good anyway, just to be healthy.
In this post I will be showing you 6 tips and tricks.
#1- Keep a drink bottle by your bed.
Scientists have proven that drinking a glass of water as soon as you wake up helps to speed up your metabolism. It works by waking up your digestive system and making it function, so that by the time you have breakfast your stomach is waiting to get food. I like to add blueberries, raspberries and lemon to my water, so it tastes good and adds more healthy properties.
#2-Keep your running shoes in the middle of the room.
This means that there is no excuse for ‘forgetting’ to run. And personally, when I see my shoes it motivates me to run, because otherwise I have spent all this money on shoes and I never wear them.
#3-Make a playlist.
Working out to music is motivating and it makes you want to keep going. Songs with an obvious beat are really good so you can keep in time. Tove Lo and David Guetta have great songs for working out, and also Britney Spears has a few good ones. Listening to music releases endorphins so you feel happy, and that can make you want to exercise more.
#4-Workout with friends.
If you make a plan with friends to go and run somewhere together, not only are you distracted from the fact you are running, but it makes it hard to back out because there are a whole bunch of people waiting for you. Or if your workout shy, like me, take your dog, or one friend.
#5-Go on YouTube.
There are some workout channels on youtube that are really motivating and have lots of different types of workouts, tips and tricks. My favourite is Blogalates, this channel is really famous and really, really good. It doesn’t only have workouts, but also has recipes, motivational videos and heaps more.
#6-Have fun with it.
If you don’t like to run, don’t. Do something else that you do like to do. If you want to stay inside and binge on your favourite TV show, do it while lying down and doing some simple workouts like leg circles or ankle circles.
I hope this post has motivated you, or helped you to achieve your goals. Remember, everyone is perfect the way that they are, I am only making this post because it is a growing trend to become ‘fit’ as long as you eat well and are happy, thats all that matters.
